Client 1 – Manufacturer and distributor of fitness equipment

Situation: Needed a shopping cart system that effectively sold their range of over 1000 products. Had over the years tried a variety of web designers who had created websites that did not provide ROI.

Issue: Having conducted an audit of the sector and the company we identified that

  • They had a wealth of great material that was ideal for promoting the website, but was not being used
  • They were trying to hard to get ranked on terms that were not searched for
  • They had so much to tell they were mixing content with sales and making it difficult for customers to purchase

Solution: We developed a single site with two distinct areas – shopping cart and blog which allowed customers to easily purchase when they were on site, and allow the production of web content that was SEO friendly. We developed the video content of the site and promoted it to increase site visibility. We developed a range of e sales letters that were sent to all existing customers and known prospects that directly drove customers to the site

Client 2 – Hair & Beauty Salon

Situation: Needed a website that was easily found, easily updated and could be used as part of e marketing strategy.

Issue: Previous sites had required maintenance by the web designer which was both costly and time consuming. There are a loads of web based directories out there that have taken traffic away from direct suppliers. If a content management system to allow internal updating of the was available it would need to be easy to use and bulletproof.

Solution: We developed a site using our Getsite technology. This format is incredibly SEO friendly. We developed a range of e newsletters that were sent to all existing customers and known prospects that directly drove customers to the site. We enhanced this by ensuring the web was the key call to action. We also purchased additional telephone numbers to allow the tracking of all promotional activities.

Client 3 – Retailer of fancy dress costumes

Situation: An incredibly competitive on-line market, 100's of products, incredibly expensive PPC.

Issue: Existing web strategy not providing return on investment.

  • With so many products – impossible to dedicate time on them all
  • Trying to hard to early to make the sale with visitors to the site
  • Solely a web based strategy

Solution: We focussed on one specific product (that we researched had a high level of traffic) and built a dedicated site for that product. We wrote and published lots of content to do with this product and got the site up the search engines. Now if a customer was looking for this type of garment "we were seen as the expert". This allowed us to build a database of customers looking for this genre of products which subsequently provided the opportunity to engage in a programme of ongoing communication during which we introduced them to a wider range of products.

Result: In this case doing less better definitely worked. In web competitive areas you cannot hope to get ranking for every term / word. By building a database of customers allowed us to develop a relationship with our prospects. Importantly we added a telesales operation into the mix that had significant impact.
